was disappointed to see that R. was subbing for E. R. is not a morning person, so I'm not wild about her classes in the am. However...there were a few new folks in there today so she taught a good class; I worked hard and felt like I benefitted from the instruction. I am just not into the silent classes...when a class is taught with lots of pointers, THAT is my focus...all I hear is the words and I focus on doing what they say. My attention wanders way too much in a silent class.
Anyway....I felt like in ardha chandrasana I went farther back than ever before....the head to knee poses, I am getting lower and lower.....the drop back in camel is easier (though this morning R. was exhorting us to keep our hips over our knees and I felt like my chest was being squeezed very hard). I also held toe stand on both sides pretty well. I had too much coffee this morning so I was jittery, but I had a good bit of energy. Oh, and in salabasana, I got both legs up, albeit briefly, farther than ever. That's my least favorite pose, but I suppose I can't help but improve, as often as I go.
Tomorrow I am trying something new - Intro to Pilates. Chelsea is teaching. I hope I am not completely crippled on Sunday after working my core.
Lee is taking the boys to Lake Sinclair tomorrow, so I'm going to my class, then cleaning house and watching a movie. Sunday I will do the hot class. Beth may be coming over tonight with a bunch of xmas Decatur envelopes that need stuffing, and if she does, we will surely drink. So I'm off to hydrate.
