Awesomely beautiful day!!

It's absolutely perfect. Gosh, it's nice out. Really feels like early fall.

Anyway...I was a carbohydrate pig yesterday. I ran errands in the morning and went to the Hot 60 at noon. Hmmm, I don't know if I'll go back to that one unless I am just dying to fit in a class and otherwise can't. I didn't feel like I got that good of a workout though I did work up a good sweat. My balance was for shit yesterday. I wobbled like crazy in utkatasana and in regular old tree pose (we only did one set, no toe stand). When I am very relaxed, my balance is much better....but I can't be both relaxed AND have my muscles fully engaged.

When I came home I ate a turkey and cheese rollup and............
that entire big chunk of chocolate cake that the boys brought home from the lake. Ugh! I can't believe I sat there justifying it and then ate that entire thing.

I ate some almonds for a snack in the afternoon, then when we got home from Will's first soccer practice (too cute) I made the boys leftover pasta. My blood sugar was crashing, so I ate several bites of pasta. Brandyn came to stay with the boys and we went to Wahoo for spirit night. I had a glass of wine, a lemontini (YUM!) fried calamari and then parmesan crusted chicken with broccolini and mashed potatoes. All the entrees were served with mashed potatoes. I would have gotten the salad but no one is serving spinach right now and it would have been romaine instead....I can have a romaine salad anytime.

Anyway, I miraculously did not wake up with a headache this morning, though I am having a "fat" day. For breakfast I had two fried eggs, two pieces of turkey sausage and one piece of cheese, plus coffee w/half & half. For lunch I had one low carb tortilla, one piece turkey, one naked hotdog plus some blue cheese dressing to dip it in instead of ketchup (we're kind of low on lunch stuff). Then I had six squares of sugarless chocolate. I'm drinking a bunch of water now because I am going to a hot 90 tonight.....I had been planning to go tomorrow morning at 6 to a hot 75, but Lee begged me not to leave him to get the boys up, dressed & fed. So I said I wouldn't go if I could go tonight, which he said was fine.

I spent about 50 minutes in Michael's classroom today reading with a couple kids, just like I did last year. It's so fun, and Michael is always glad to see me. I hope he always wants to kiss and hug me in front of his friends.

I went to Finders Keepers to shop today....they have a ton of inventory right now so I thought surely I'd find something. When I was trying to find something to wear last night I realized how little I have that fits me well for this transitional season - everything is too big ("fat day" notwithstanding). I was hoping to find some cool long sleeve tees and capri pants or jeans, but all I found was a Misook duster which I debated about then decided to spring for at $14.99....I hope I get my money back for it.
