AAACK!

These flyers kept coming home about a spanish competition for k-3 at a highschool in the northern burbs in April. I just assumed it was for anyone who wanted to participate so I tossed it. Well, come to find out that it was only for certain kids chosen by the Spanish teachers. Michael and Stella were chosen from his class and I didn't find out until Senora Avila called me today to see if Michael was going to participate.

I had to decide on the spot, so I said no....it's April 22 which is our anniversary as well as the Inman Park festival and Earth Day and we will certainly be doing stuff that day.

I feel terrible, though, Michael said something about it last week and I just said "we've got something else going on, so we're not doing it." I had no idea it was invitation only.

Ate half a chocolate croissant today.

Maybe my avoidance of sweets for the past two weeks is having an effect...I thought the croissant was overly sweet (and I think my fillings are wearing out...the chocolate hurt my teeth).

The dark chocolate made with sugar alcohol that the Farmer's Market sells....it is wonderful. They were out of the plain dark chocolate last week, so I bought some of the dark chocolate with orange and it is wonderful, even better than the plain, and best of all, it gives me almost no gas.
